Shareholder Reports


            -Volunteer Halloween Parade well received on 30 October

            -Pumpkin Festival decorated lobby

            -Teachers preparing for report card conferences on 12 November

            -TERC team (data analysis) reported on 1 November

            -27 Teachers forming Lit. Center 15 hr. Study Group

            -Grade level meetings formed a  1 time committee for district reconfiguration

            -BEST Assembly for Nov/Dec theme-Sharing and Caring

            -Drumming/Story time on 10 November

            -Davis School Paper Caper monthly newsletter ongoing



            -Comlinks backpack program starts 19 November

            -Jason LaFlesh nominated to Reconfiguration Committee

            -PBIS reward for 1st quarter-movie and popcorn

            -PTO finished candy sale

            -Tara West to join Reconfiguration Committee

            -Anti-bullying program from Camfell Productions looked at

            -3 presentations a day, 2 giant screens, DVD, with follow up lesson plans

            -Spring or Fall timelime





            -Contract negotiations ongoing

            -Pauline Bova appointed to Reconfiguration Com.

            -Grievance Workshop 16 and 17 November







            -PTA meeting on 17 November

            -E-school report on issue resolution

            -Funding “perfect storm” approaching=cuts in state aid mid year

            -Vacancy and long term absence filling

            -BOE meeting on 23, time to be announced (4pm)

            -Literacy Committee meets 2nd time next week

            -FA H1N1 vaccination site on 17 November


Old Business

            -No problems with existing nit/lice policy.

                        -DWSIC will possibly rotate in spring


New Business

            -3 goals formed

                        1. Review implementation and instrument for staff perception survey-

                            looking at myvoicesurvey.com (based on 8 conditions that make a

                            difference)-sometimes receives corporate funding

                        2. Monitor the development and implementation of Reconfiguration plan

                            Projection of September 2010

                        3. Monitor the development and implementation of Comprehensive                                    Strategic Instructional Plan-Vadir and BEDS done



-Bridge problem lingers-January new finish date heard

-Next DWSIC meeting 8 December at FA Room 113, 3:15 p.m.
