Meeting called to order by Carol Van Riper at 3:17 p.m.

 

Minutes of 13 October 2009 were approved with 1 correction.

Shareholder Reports

            Davis

            -Volunteer Halloween Parade well received on 30 October

            -Pumpkin Festival decorated lobby

            -Teachers preparing for report card conferences on 12 November

            -TERC team (data analysis) reported on 1 November

            -27 Teachers forming Lit. Center 15 hr. Study Group

            -Grade level meetings formed a  1 time committee for district reconfiguration

            -BEST Assembly for Nov/Dec theme-Sharing and Caring

            -Drumming/Story time on 10 November

            -Davis School Paper Caper monthly newsletter ongoing

           

            Flanders

            -Comlinks backpack program starts 19 November

            -Jason LaFlesh nominated to Reconfiguration Committee

            -PBIS reward for 1st quarter-movie and popcorn

            -PTO finished candy sale

 

            St. Joseph’s

            -October PBIS reward went well

            -Bookfair held in library

            -Pumpkin Museum in library

            -5th grade Social Studies test 16-17 November

            -Perception surveys looked at to form SIC goals

            -Reconfiguration plan looked at-Judy Kent to committee

            -No problems with existing nit/lice policy.

                        -DWSIC will possibly rotate in spring

 

New Business

            -3 goals formed

                        1. Review implementation and instrument for staff perception survey-

                            looking at myvoicesurvey.com (based on 8 conditions that make a

                            difference)-sometimes receives corporate funding

                        2. Monitor the development and implementation of Reconfiguration plan

                            Projection of September 2010

                        3. Monitor the development and implementation of Comprehensive                                    Strategic Instructional Plan-Vadir and BEDS done

 

Other

-Bridge problem lingers-January new finish date heard

-Next DWSIC meeting 8 December at FA Room 113, 3:15 p.m.
