Committee Members Present: Jerry Griffin, Caralee Kardash, Helen Martin, Jackie McCarthy, Darcy Rabideau, Carol Van Riper

 

Committee Absent:  Keely Dunshee, Steve Dupree, Kitty Eldridge, Heather Hans, Dan Shaffer

 

Meeting called to order by Jerry Griffin at 2:47 p.m.

 

Minutes of 10 January 2012 were approved.

 

Shareholder Reports

            Davis

            -For community relations, Health and Wellness Day was held

            -PTSO group paraded at Winter Carnival

            -Valentine’s Craft Day was held

            -Room assignments for reconfiguration are done

           

            Flanders

            -Only 20 unable to attend PBIS quarterly award

            -Carole Robinson manning yearbook with selected students

            -Dibles looks positive

            -3 March PBIS car wash planned with bus garage

            -Data team finished Core Pamphlets

 

            St. Joseph’s

            -Academic Showcase and ziti dinner set for 15 February

            -Presidents Tea accomplished

            -Several participated in All County Music in Brushton

            -Common Core roll out continues

            -Relay for Hope drew 140 students walking from 6-6, proceeds to Rachel’s Challenge and SADD-very positive social event

            -Negotiation ongoing with a meeting tonight and vote tomorrow

            -Participated in the Winter Carnival Parade

            -Filed LAP application

            -Website active to showcase community involvement

            -Friday lunch is contact lobbyist regarding education issues

            -19 and 20 March MFT members lobby

            -Concerns are funding and tax cap pitfalls

            Superintendent

            -Meeting with NYSUT rep on Thursday to look at APPR exposure rubric

            -

           

Old Business (Reconfiguration)

            -EWY deadline will remain 15 March, but flexible changes can be made

-Cachement Areas Map will be approved at 28 February BOE meeting

            -Parent letters ready to go on the 29th

-Budget binder goes out tonight

            -Every classroom will have a smartboard next year, specials will receive next

            -Pricipals answering questions regarding materials movement

            -New elementary staffs will meet March 16th

            -Weekly meeting with Griffin, Whipple, Brooks, and Kench

            -Special Ed. Will probably not change much, will receive official memo on placement

            -May be support staff changes

            -Library to receive money for new levels of books

            -Davis looking forward to having homework room, yearbook, after school programs
