The first part is written and the second is oral to help get you comfortable speaking in front of the class. It is understandable that you may be a little nervous, but presentations generally last less than a minute. Written requirements: Print your Spanish name vertically (going down) the left side of your paper in CAPITAL letters. Make sure these letters fill the page. Choose an adjective in Spanish that describes you for each letter and continue writing it after each capital letter. Be sure that the adjective will describe you as a boy or as a girl. Draw a small picture next to EACH adjective to illustrate it. You may also use computer graphics. Color your letters and your pictures. 5. After practicing the pronounciation of the adjectives you chose for your name, you will be asked to come up to the front of the class and present your acróstico. I will be grading you on the following: Knowledge of dialogue 4- memorized dialogue 3- needs a little help from teacher 2- needs a lot of help from teacher 1- must use script 0- will not/refuses to present Pronunciation 4- all words are pronounced correctly 3- many words are pronounced correctly 2- a few words are pronounced correctly( may have trouble with vowel sounds) 1- most words are pronounced incorrectly which interferes with comprehension 0- will not/ refuses to present Expression 4- voice flows well throughout, uses proper intonation and expression( doesn’t sound like a robot) 3- voice flows well through much of the presentation, intonation and expression need some practice( in some parts sounds like a robot) 2- voice doesn’t flow well. A lot of practice is needed with intonation and expression( Are you sure you’re not a robot?) 1- Difficult to understand. You put the class to sleep. 0- will not/ refuses to present Volume 4- dialogue could be heard easily by all 3- dialogue could be heard by most 2- pump up the volume , you’re not in the library 1- lack of volume interferes with communication.
