Monday - Witness the first major conflict of wills as you finish reading Act 2, Scene 1 (pp. 26 – 32) and answer questions #13 – 23 on pp. 6 – 7 of your handout. (+ +)
Tuesday - Discover how a quiet Friday night can turn explosive as you read Act Two, Scene 2 (pp. 32 – 35) and answer the twelve questions on pp. 7 – 8 of your handout. (+ +)
Wednesday - Discover one possible way in which “the best-laid plans of mice and men so often go awry” as you read Act Three, Scene 1 (pp. 35 – 38) and answer the thirteen questions on pp. 8 - 9 of your handout. (+ +)
Thursday - Discover the play’s climactic moment and be ready to explain its denouement. Read Act 3, Scene 2 (pp. 38 – 39) and answer the seven questions on p. 9 of your handout. (+) Due Monday - Complete the “Metaphor Analysis” (+), “Theme” (+), and “Quotations” (+ +) reviews on pp. 9 – 11 of your handout. Have a first look at the “Synthesis” writing task on p. 11. Note a few ideas that you would use to explain the two works’ connections; a similar question will appear on your Act III test.
Friday - Complete the “Metaphor Analysis” (+), “Theme” (+), and “Quotations” (+ +) reviews on pp. 9 – 11 of your handout. Have a first look at the “Synthesis” writing task on p. 11.
