PARKING
LOTTERY
There are two ways that a student can qualify to
be entered into the academic
parking pass lottery:
1. EARN AN AVERAGE OF 90 OR HIGHER IN THE
PRECEDING MARKING PERIOD
2. RAISE YOUR GRADE 5 POINTS IN ANY ONE CLASS IN
THE PRECEDING MARKING PERIOD
AND
BE FAILING NO MORE THAN ONE CLASS IN THE
PRECEDING MARKING PERIOD
(Note:
If a student attended summer school, his/her summer school grades will be
reviewed to determine eligibility for the 1st and 2nd
marking periods.)
The academic parking lottery will be held at the
start of each marking period.
Juniors who are interested in being entered into the academic parking lottery
should see Miss Kilcullen to confirm their eligibility.
The date of the parking lottery for each quarter will be announced during
morning announcements.
1st
Quarter- Compare grades of 3rd
and 4th quarters of the sophomore year. The student must not have
failed more than one class in the 4th quarter of the sophomore year.
2nd
Quarter- Compare grades of 3rd
and 4th quarters of the sophomore year and cannot be failing more
than one class in the 1st quarter of the junior year.
3rd
Quarter- Compare grades of 1st
and 2nd quarters of the junior year and cannot be failing more than
one class in the 2nd quarter of the junior year.
4th
Quarter- Compare grades of the 2nd
and 3rd quarters of the junior year and cannot be failing more than
one class in the 3rd quarter of the junior year.
Note:
If there are extra junior parking passes available at the conclusion of
the lottery, juniors who do not meet the criteria listed above may be issued a
parking pass on a temporary basis.
Quarterly overall averages
will be used to determine the order that the extra passes will be issued.
