ACADEMIC PARKING LOTTERY

There are two ways that a student can qualify to be entered into the academic parking pass lottery:

1. EARN AN AVERAGE OF 90 OR HIGHER IN THE PRECEDING MARKING PERIOD

2. RAISE YOUR GRADE 5 POINTS IN ANY ONE CLASS IN THE PRECEDING MARKING PERIOD

AND

BE FAILING NO MORE THAN ONE CLASS IN THE PRECEDING MARKING PERIOD

(Note:  If a student attended summer school, his/her summer school grades will be reviewed to determine eligibility for the 1st and 2nd marking periods.)

The academic parking lottery will be held at the start of each marking period.   Juniors who are interested in being entered into the academic parking lottery should see Miss Kilcullen to confirm their eligibility.  The date of the parking lottery for each quarter will be announced during morning announcements.

1st Quarter- Compare grades of 3rd and 4th quarters of the sophomore year. The student must not have failed more than one class in the 4th quarter of the sophomore year.

2nd Quarter- Compare grades of 3rd and 4th quarters of the sophomore year and cannot be failing more than one class in the 1st quarter of the junior year.

3rd Quarter- Compare grades of 1st and 2nd quarters of the junior year and cannot be failing more than one class in the 2nd quarter of the junior year.

4th Quarter- Compare grades of the 2nd and 3rd quarters of the junior year and cannot be failing more than one class in the 3rd quarter of the junior year.

Note:  If there are extra junior parking passes available at the conclusion of the lottery, juniors who do not meet the criteria listed above may be issued a parking pass on a temporary basis.  Quarterly overall averages will be used to determine the order that the extra passes will be issued.
