Principal Message
Dear parents, students and community members,
This is my first email to the new “email parent group”.
From time to time I’d like to use this email group to send out news
concerning Franklin Academy.
This could be anything from upcoming events, cancelled or rescheduled
events, news from the school or anything else that I think you may want
and/or need to know as a parent.
I have CC’d Candy Gadway into this email as well.
Candy is our Community Schools Coordinator and our contact person for
the Franklin Academy PSTO (Parent Student Teacher Organization).
We will send out monthly reminders/agendas of our PTSO meetings so
you’ll know what is happening here at Franklin Academy. Each morning our daily announcements are posted on the
FA website at:
http://www.malonecsd.org/franklin/index.htm
Announcements are normally posted by 8:15 each day.
If you are talking with any of your friends who want to
be added to this email group please have them fill out the online form on
the FA website or send me an email at
jgriffin@malonecsd.org The parent email group is a private distribution list
to limit the exposure of your email addresses.
So far there are close to 200 email addresses in the group.
It’s hard to believe that we are almost through with
our first two months of school.

We are getting excited about the start of another school year one in which I hope is even more successful than last year. We have a great group of students here at FA along with a terrific faculty and staff. School starts for students on September 7. Faculty and staff will report on September 1. Schedules for students will be mailed out during the week of August 11.
I hope everyone enjoys the rest of the summer and are looking forward to returning to school.
